Welcome to the Four-state Crop Insurance Workshop website
The workshops are a joint effort of the Colorado State University Extension, Kansas State University Research and Extension, University of Nebraska Extension and Oklahoma State University Extension. One workshop is conducted in each of the four states on consecutive days in November of each year. The agenda is the same for the four workshops and generally the same speakers make the presentations at all four sites.
The first series of workshops was conducted in 2000.
General objectives of the workshop: Crop insurance agents, agricultural lenders, marketing consultants, agricultural educators and other risk management service providers will be able to help their clients make more profitable risk management decisions. Farmers and ranchers will be able to apply the information to their decisions.
The specific learning objectives relate to the agenda topics each year.
The February, 2008 issue of Crop Insurance TODAY contained an article entitled "Crop Insurance Workshops Have Major Impact" which featured the 2007 Crop Insurance Workshops held in Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas.
